Position Summary:

Catalent Pharma Solutions is Chelsea, MA is hiring a Senior Quality Control System Administrator who is responsible for maintaining and building electronic content for the Quality Control Laboratory Execution System (LES) and the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for executing QC testing and related analytical activities supporting product development, release, and stability. These individual conducts routine maintenance of the electronic system per the standard operation procedures. The Senior Quality Control System Administrator assists in the development and implementation of any new LIMS content consumable types and system specification documents required to support the validated state of the system server environment.

This is a full-time role position: Monday – Friday, days.

This 90,000 square-foot Boston-area facility is Catalent’s global Center of Excellence for spray dry dispersion and Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) capsule manufacture and packaging. The site features inhaled powder spray drying, as well as multiple commercial-scale lines for capsule filling and blister packaging. On-site spray dryers include best-in-class GEA Niro SD1, SD4 and SD7, the latter being the largest CGMP unit of its kind for DPI in North America.

The Role

• Perform System Administrator responsibilities for Laboratory Execution System and Empower enterprise systems.
• Performs System Administrator responsibilities for all laboratory related software (i.e. instrument software, stability trending software).
• Coordinates with SME team to write and develop new method content.
• Creates electronic methods with outline of User Acceptance Testing for method implementation.
• Creates new Specification documents for any new LIMS content.
• Trans end users on new functions.
• Facilitates and coordinates with IT and business owner to resolve any maintenance and enhancement requests.
• All other duties as assigned;

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical, Chemical, Computer Sciences, or related field required.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in and/or supporting a cGMP regulated environment required.
• Experience in VelQuest LES / Accelrys LIMS and Method Builder software systems preferred.
• Experience with QC test methods and generating electronic content to follow validated SOP’s in a 21 CFR Part 11 complaint system.
• Experience with method development and validation preferred.

• Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds;
