      Quality Assurance Technician

      REPORTS TO: Quality Assurance Manager

      DEPARTMENT: Quality Assurance

      TOTAL NUMBER OF POSITIIONS: 2

      PAY: 2nd Shift - $19.40/hr. 3rd Shift - $20.15/hr

      Cardinal Employees: As applicable , in determining a final rate of pay for a current employee, a compensation calculation occurs accounting for length of current employment.

      WORK SCHEDULE: 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday (2:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m.)
      3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday (10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.)

      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

      1. Work side by side with production to perform quality checks and evaluate the effectiveness of quality checking equipment and procedures.
      2. Learn and perform the Cardinal corporate audit throughout the LG department and its supporting departments such as the Laminating and Tempering departments.
      3. Work side by side with the Finished Product Auditors looking for defects with finished LG units and reporting it to management with an end of day email.
      4. Head up investigations into causes of defects, find solutions for preventing them, and document/distribute solutions to necessary parties effectively.
      5. Write and update procedures for all areas of the plant when necessary and accurately maintain their integrity and availability.
      6. Assist in improving working conditions and efficiencies as the need arises.
      7. Address vendor product issues such as rejects or packaging parameters.
      8. Position requires the proficient ability to read a tape measure to 16ths.

        MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

        1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
        2. One year of related work experience, preferred.
        3. Able to count lites, see defects, read, and understand automation-measuring devices, and inspect lites efficiently.
        4. Able to follow directions.
        5. Must be detailed orientated.
        6. Able to adapt to changes in deadlines and nature of assignments.
        7. Strong analytical skills and logical thinker.
        8. Good communicator both verbally and in writing.
        9. Dependable, professional, motivated, and productive.
        10. Helpful by nature with a positive attitude and good social skills.
        11. Familiar with Microsoft Office software (Excel and Word).
        12. Required to lift, push and/or pull 50 pounds repetitively.
        13. Able to be on your feet for an entire shift.
        14. Able to use full range of motion (stoop, crouch, bend over, reach, etc.) throughout a shift.
        15. Able to see color.
        16. Able to use hand-eye coordination required to operate mechanical equipment.
        17. Zero progressive discipline in the last 6 months (internal applicants)
        18. Positive safety attitude.
