      1. Operate and maintain all analytical equipment used in the QC department.
      1. Assist the QC Manager in calibration of said equipment as required to ensure accuracy.
      1. Analyze rice in process and packaging for conformance to all internal (Company) and external (Customer) requirements and expectations.
      1. Ensure that all lab records are maintained in an orderly manner
      1. Ensure the laboratory is maintained in a safe orderly manner and is 5S compliant.
      1. Perform other miscellaneous tasks as directed by the QC Manager.

      Knowledge

      • High School diploma or equivalent (Mandatory)
      • Previous manufacturing/quality control experience preferred but not necessary

      Skills and Requirements

      • Good verbal/written communication skills
      • Legible hand writing
      • Ability to climb ladders and stairs repeatedly throughout shift
      • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
      • Good hand-eye coordination
      • Ability to do math equations with multiplication and division
      Equipment Used
      • Quality Testing equipment associated with rice Processing (i.e. Moisture testers, Precision Cookers, Shear Press, Colorimeter, Uniflow Cylinder)
      • Personal Computer used for data logging and reporting

      Working Conditions

      • Climate controlled laboratory 80%
      • Plant / warehouse environment 20%
      • Rotating 12 hour shifts – coverage required for 24 hour / 7 day week operation
