      VACANCY FOR QC Engineer


      The purpose of this job is to ensure that the product quality is maintained throughout its manufacturing cycle and to achieve the set performance targets on quality and vendor development.

      Contribute and support to maintain and improve the defined quality level of products per Alfa Laval standards/specifications and customer requirements.

      The position / About the Job:

      In this job the QC Engineer would be responsible for:

      Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

      • Coordinate with Supply Chain for Inspection & expediting activities.
      • Prepare, execute & monitor QAP/ quality control procedures & work instructions.
      • Responsible to maintain the quality of supply (including physical inspection) of bought-out and fabricated equipment including installation at the construction site.
      • Experience in Heat Exchanger and Pressure Vessel Inspection
      • Compile & maintain inspection documents.
      • Participate in vendor evaluation & development.
      • Coordinate with customer inspection team/ TPI for getting necessary approvals.
      • Coordinate with various departments within E&S to resolve hurdles/ bottlenecks that might hamper quality of supply and installation.
      • Carry out root cause analysis & suggest corrective actions for observed non-conformances.
      • Handle incoming & Shipping inspection activities, reporting nonconformity to suppliers.
      • Handle calibration of measuring equipment.
      • Support to guarantee customer requirements are completely fulfilled.
      • Support to manage continuous improvement projects/activities in Quality area, in alignment with Alfa Laval Quality Strategy

      What you can be?

      Education:

      • Mechanical/ Production engineer having relevant experience of Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience in relevant function
      • Valid certification in NDT (PT, VT, RT, UT), & Welding
      • Position is for vendor inspection and travel to vendor places is required.

      Skills:

      • Good knowledge of codes & standards (ASME, ANSI, BPE, BIS, PED, TEMA etc.).
      • Hands-on experience in Quality control activities of fabricated Equipments like Calandrias, evaporators, reactors, fermenters,
      • ASME sec VIII & ASME BPE Equipment’s. PED Equipment’s.
      • Hand on experience in handling exotic materials like Duplex, Nickel, Titanium.
      • Knowledge and experience in ISO 9001… Optional
      • Fluent written and spoken English.
      • Good at reading and interpreting technical, RFQ. documents, drawings and specifications
