      The Global RAD Operations (GRO) network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon internal customers every day. GRO is looking for a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our team as a Quality Engineer. This leader will work closely with our Engineering, Operations and Customer Solutions teams to improve the quality of processes. They will also be responsible for monitoring, reporting, and investigating any process failures. The role will be the technical contact and take full ownership of process issues and be a driving force in understanding root cause of failures and gaps in our processes.

      GRO’s workflow has three major components: First Mile – receiving and stowing product in RAD; Middle Mile – picking, prepping, and packing the product for shipment; and Last Mile – delivering product to the internal customer’s door. Please note that all workflows have slight building variations, but one thing is constant: our vision and dedication to the customer.


      Key job responsibilities
      - Develop PFMEA, Control Plan and maintain them throughout the life of the process.
      - Perform Risk/ Failure analysis of existing and new operational processes.
      - Manage process/product quality audit program to identify gaps and determine continuous improvement opportunities. (Performing and documenting audit findings and ensuring proper corrective action is taken).
      - Define and own the Quality metrics that are reported daily to the leadership.
      - Perform Root Cause Analysis on customer issues and provide Corrective Actions and drive them to completion.
      - Manage Change Management requests and obtain approvals from appropriate stakeholders.
      - Serve as primary quality contact on the production floor and communicate relevant quality related detail at the start and end of shift.
      - Assist in and facilitate process improvement initiatives.
      - Assist in roll out of new processes and equipment through trial runs and perform quality inspections.
      - Lead the Material Review Board process, define standards and provide guidance on defect disposition to associates and shift leaders.
      - Owns and develops standard policy/procedure for processes within operations.


      About the team
      The Ops Engineering & Analytics Team which is at the heart of the OpsTechIT Supply Chain Fulfillment Operation is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure, tools, and processes necessary to ensure smooth functioning of the RAD Operations. This is a multidisciplinary team that combines elements of Ops Engineering, Analytics, Quality Engineering, Materials Management and Learning & Training. The team's focus is optimizing the performance, reliability, and scalability of RAD processes. The team's expertise in building and maintaining complex systems and processes ensures that the RAD operations can operate efficiently, effectively and securely.

      We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

      Antioch, TN, USA | Nashville, TN, USAA Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in engineering, business administration, or related field and 1 year of experience in engineering or product/program management.

      Experience may include:
      - 1+ years of experience in operations/manufacturing industry.
      - 1 year of experience developing and driving strategic initiatives within a cross-functional environment.
      - 1 year of experience using Quality Management System as well as managing Quality Audit Programs.
      - 1 year of experience in product/program management in a technical industry.- 2+ years of experience in operations/manufacturing industry.
      - Evidence of ability to prioritize, manage and complete projects with tight deadlines.
      - Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction and strategy.
      - Willingness to roll up your sleeves and work with production associates to understand the process.
      - Desire to thrive in a dynamic, growing environment with minimal direct supervision.
      - Customer service skills to effectively communicate with internal and external partners.
      - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
