      Job Purpose

      This position is an entry level position in which the Quality Engineer is expected to be able to complete work independently with limited supervision. A Quality Engineer in Subsea Services Quality North America is a critical player in ensuring quality execution of Subsea Services activities to our customers. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

      • Providing Quality support / guidance to site team throughout the project lifecycle
      • Promoting a Quality culture on the site, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of quality standards and systems
      • Facilitating RCA/CARs to ensure completeness and adequacy of controls

      Job Description

      • Reviews the accuracy and availability of all Quality related documentation
      • Provides Quality support / guidance to site team
      • Leads Quality audits / Process Verifications and is responsible for follow-up
      • Facilitates Non-conformance Review Boards (SNs/QNs)
      • Leads and facilitates RCA/CARs to ensure completeness and adequacy of controls
      • Creates Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans, and ensures that requirements are met
      • Monitors, reports, analyses KPIs to ensure compliance, performance visibility, and actions for improvement
      • Analyzes lessons learned and applies learnings as applicable
      • Proactively identifies problems and drives solutions through implementation and sustainment
      • Verifies the effectiveness of existing and newly implemented systems for improvement or compliance
      • Participates actively in risk assessment workshops
      • Promotes a Quality culture on the project/site, ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous improvement of quality standards and systems
      • Collaborates with Suppliers and Supplier Quality to ensure project requirements are met
      • Compiles and analyzes complex quality data, identifies trends / causes and proposes corrective actions
      • Implements an effective corrective and preventive action system and tracks closure of NCRs
      • Resolves operational issues related to customer third party representatives
      • Configures and updates the QMS (Quality Management System) and contributes to its continuous improvement
      • Recommends training for employees
      • Reports progress and handles inquiries and issues with the Client quality representatives

      You are meant for this job if:

      • Bachelor's degree preferably with a specialization in Quality (Engineering degree for Quality Engineer only, equivalent qualification for Quality Analyst)
      • Minimum 2 years of experience
      • Good understanding and knowledge of all main procedures and Management systems
      • Some project management skills
      • Presentation and some coaching skills
      • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
      • Customer oriented
      • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
      • Good command of English
      • Capable of producing standard quality documents
      • Knowledgeable in how changes influence project cost
      • Capable of leading internal meetings

      WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change. Frequent engagement with internal and external contacts. Regular visits to workshop sites to perform audits and investigations. Some international travel may be required.

      PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent meetings, sitting for long periods of time, operating a computer. Standing and walking for extended periods while observing workshop site activities.
