Job Description
- Req#: 12386
- Create and maintain comprehensive quality assurance procedures while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform regular audits of production processes/products to identify and address any deviations from the standards.
- Collect and analyze data to prepare detailed reports on quality performance metrics.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
- Lead projects aimed at enhancing product quality and process efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree* in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related discipline with a minimum three years experience with application and analysis of statistical process control (SPC) principles and internal audits; ISO 9001:2015 certification preferred.
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
- Experience with Minitab preferred.
- Ability to effectively organize and manage projects, and prioritize workload.
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
- This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. The US Government does not allow non-US citizens on-site at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. Therefore, to be considered in the hiring process, the candidate must be a US citizen.
