      Please note that this role is specifically for IBP Solutions US, LLC dba Masonite Architectural, which was separated from Masonite International and was sold on May 14, 2024. IBP Solutions US, LLC dba Masonite Architectural currently operates as a standalone entity.

      The Quality Engineer will provide quality assurance assistance to the plant by helping to develop and implement quality control standards and procedures by assessing process and equipment reliability. This position will also require knowledge of continuous improvement practices and the ability to implement them throughout the plant. Testing and data collection to maintain stringent product certifications will also be required.

      Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Responsible for assisting with the activities of the Quality Engineering function with an emphasis on product quality, on-time delivery, and production efficiency.

      • Work with manufacturing to ensure quality engineering readiness.

      • Lead cross-functional problem solving teams and implement quality improvement tools and techniques using management and planning tools, quality tools, and preventive and corrective actions to overcome barriers to continuous quality improvements.

      • Ensure proper internal communication is conducted for required product information consistently and effectively . This communication might include inspection instructions, customer complaints, or other specific instructions.

      • Understand the quality requirements for the process they work with.

      • Inspects the daily operations to ensure that the correct process, machine, and quality standards are being followed.

      • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement continuous improvement initiatives.

      • Develops and manages the audit systems within the product line by establishing requirements, conduct, and measurement.

      • Develops and/or contributes to product FEMA, control plans, customer acceptance, documentation, and other methods related to APQP process.

      • Auditing manufacturing process for conformance to customer specifications.

      • Complies and writes training materials and conducts training on quality control activities.

      • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

      • Participation in weekly quality inspection and auditing sessions.

      • Leads efforts in achieving all customer Quality System Requirements.

      • Uses Quality techniques such as Design of Experiments, (DOE), and Design of Manufacturing (DOM), to reduce process variation or refine process parameters based on results.

      • Plans counter-measures, reports and actions based on customer returns. Is expected to be able to communicate key issues and actions.

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Three to Five years Experience in a Quality Manufacturing Environment.

      • 4 year Degree in Technical Field or equivalent experience.

      • Six sigma Lean GB or ability to become certified within one year.

      • Preferred ASQ certification as CQIA or CQA and CQT or CQE

      • Excellent written and oral skills are a must.

      • Experience of dealing directly with customers regarding quality issue.

      • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.

      • Strong negotiation skills and a commitment to bust barriers and champion the needs of the production team are critical.

      • Flexibility to support the needs of all shifts with direct contact and active leadership is required.

      • Strong knowledge of quality inspection and auditing process highly desired.

      • Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, and problem solving techniques, root cause analysis, quality assurance practices and concepts.

      • Ability to provide extended flexible work hours, as work-load and projects requires.

      • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from the floor level up to the inspection station.

      • Effective team-member is essential in this key role.

      • Ability to use MS-Office (Word, Excel, E-Mail and other Windows-based applications.)
