      Quality Engineer Mechanical with welding expertise

      Are you a experienced engineer with a background in quality control of mechanical components and welding processes?

      Welcome to QP - Quality programs and oversight. We are almost 40 employees in areas such as safeguard, safety and quality. As a member of our team, you will work together with engaged colleagues and be a part of an environment that is both challenging and supportive.

      About the role:

      As Quality Engineer you will monitor the quality of mechanical components and equipment for nuclear operation in different projects activities. Among other things, you will:

      • Perform quality inspections and observations on manufacturing processes, mechanical components and welded assemblies.

      • Review welding procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.

      • Review control plans, final control documentation, non-conformance reports and take measures from a quality perspective.

      • Review technical documentation and quality requirements in orders for components and services.

      • Issue Certificate of Conformity (CoC) and audit certificates of mechanical components and installations.

      • Participate in audits of suppliers and internal business processes audits.

      • Support continuous improvement of welding and quality control processes.

      You will work at our office at Bränslegatan, Västerås with a hybrid work schedule.

      We are looking for you

      To be a good match for this role, we believe that you are experienced in your profession and have the knowledge to conduct your tasks. We believe that you are good at collaborating both internal and external with our customers to ensure the quality regulations. We also believe that you excel in an environment that is developing and is curious to learn more about the nuclear industry.

      Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in engineering; mechanical-, materials- or quality management, or equivalent.

      • 5+ year of experience working with quality management, assurance and control from the manufacturing industry.

      • Experience working with performance management based on management system standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, NQA-1, ISO 19443, KBM, TBM, ISO 3834-2 and others.

      • Certificate in welding management (IW, EW etc).

      • Full professional proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

      Meritorious

      • Experience from the nuclear industry

      • Certificate in Non-destructive Testing (NDT).

      • Knowledge of CE marking, pressurized equipment and lifting equipment.

      • Knowledge in other languages, ex. German, French or Ukrainian
