      Basic Qualifications

      • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
      • Experience with Effective communication: written, oral, listening, presentation, and technical writing Internal (leadership) and External customers (DCMA, FAA, MOD, DOD, Etc.)
      • Advanced quality science expertise in 3 or more of the following areas: statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling, six sigma, FAI, PPAP, PFMEA, process auditing, product validation, root cause analysis/corrective action, and supplier quality management.
      • Experience with root cause, corrective action and/or continuous improvement (RCCA, PDCA...etc.)
      • Must be able to interface/work in a cross-functional environment (e.g., engineering, quality, production, supply chain, program office).
      • Previous experience in Fabrication, Manufacturing, and or Warehouse environments.
      • Working knowledge of industry standards such as AS9100, ISO9001, DCMA 8210, etc.
      • Familiarity of Final Acceptance of product on the C-130 or similar military jets.

      Job Description

      Quality Engineer Staff (Level 4)
      • This position is part of the Marietta Process Surveillance and FOD Prevention Program team reporting to the Manager of Quality Ground Regulations Assurance.
      • Individual selected will be expected to be a Subject Matter Expert with DCMA Instruction 8210-1 requirements and must have working knowledge of AMS9000 and can work at all levels of the organization to include external government teams.
      • Individual selected will utilize analytical capabilities to communicate and influence others in a concise, data driven manner.
      • Co-Develop and schedule the Marietta Process Compliance Surveillance plan to meet monthly/annual surveillance goals.
      • Responsibilities will include developing surveillance plans, conducting thorough process surveillance per established Process Surveillance Plan; ensure ground operations are being performed safe and according to guidance/instruction; communicate to area leadership results of surveillance and ensure effective corrective actions are in place.
      • In addition, candidate will ensure the site FOD Prevention Program is deployed, executed, and sustained within the assigned program area by partnering with leadership, production and quality teams, Program FOD/Surveillance Site Lead, and supporting organizations.

      Desired skills

      • GFR Survey/AOI audit, or similar audits, preparation experience
      • Experience working with and interacting closely with government customer (DCMA, APT, etc)
      • Previous military or DOD experience in Quality Assurance
      • Experience with Data querying, modeling, analytics and trend analysis.
      • Must read and understand technical requirements (e.g., specifications, engineering drawings, work orders, technical orders, technical publications, etc.).
      • Experience with providing mentoring and on-the-job training related to quality control methods, techniques and tools to the quality control workforce.
      • Previous experience in Fabrication, Manufacturing, and or Warehouse environments.
      •Trend analysis and analytical ability to deduce through data
      • Demonstrated proficiency working with CAD systems
      • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - e.g. macros, pivot charts/tables, v & h lookups, etc

      Work Schedule Information

      Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

      National Pay Statement

      Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
      Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
      (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
