Job Description
- Req#: 5482
- Performs inspections of products at various phases (first/last piece, in-process, and final) to established specifications which may include cosmetic, dimensional, functional, and agency characteristics
- Interprets blueprints, drawings, specifications, and procedures to perform inspections, tests, or other job functions
- Identifies and labels non-conforming products and coordinates the segregation of non-conforming products to the appropriate location
- Selects gauges according to the feature or characteristic to be measured. Uses established Go / No Go gauges, optical comparators, and measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, thread plugs, pin gauges, ring gauges, radius gauges, etc.
- Creates and maintains quality records of all inspections and tests performed either on paper or electronically as required
- Participates in root cause analysis as part of an 8D or CAR issued in response to an internal audit, quality concern, or other manufacturing issues
- Ensures work is completed in accordance with departmental documentation and QMS requirements.
- $19.48 and up
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written English
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook at a basic level
- Ability to solve basic math problems
- Ability to work 12 hour shift, 4 on/4 off, from 6a to 6p
- This position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% material handling, production assembly machine operations, and/or walking and assisting production employees
- Requires standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, pushing, pulling, and feeling
- Requires eye/hand/foot coordination
- Requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds

- High School Diploma or equivalent, two-year technical degree preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
- Previous quality experience preferred
- Up to 5% may be required
