Job Description
- Req#: 3886
- Inspect electrical components at incoming, in-process, and final points during the manufacturing process.
- Inspect & test manufactured electrical equipment (AC Switchgear, DC switchgear, Rectifiers, Switch Tanks, PCR, etc.).
- Interface with manufacturing, engineering, shipping, and customers.
- Attend department safety and training meetings.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety rules.
- Record manufacturing and engineering discrepancies.
- Complete all test/inspection documentation.
- Participate in Customer visits/testing as required.
- Perform maintenance on assigned test equipment
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates’ Degree in an electrical field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the industrial electrical field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical theory preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics preferred.
- Familiarity with the use of test equipment such as multi meter, clamp-on meter, voltage detector, etc. preferred.
- Must be fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have basic computer skills using Word, Excel and Access.
- Learn policies and procedures, work instruction, ISO policies, Safety Rules and Regulations, and vendor products.
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting components and testing assembled electrical equipment as necessary to meet Powell customer requirements.
