      Description

      The candidates in this role will be responsible for quality control testing on raw materials, in process goods, and finished products. The individual in this role will be responsible for:

      -Audit and inspect incoming raw materials and packaging items ensuring they meet specifications.

      -Follow SOPs and GMPs in testing raw materials for various qualities including color, flavor, temperature, moisture, pH, viscosity, density, salt, etc.

      -Verify all label information meet specifications

      -Document and record all quality information in excel or SAP system.

      -Implement product holds, releases, preventative actions, corrective actions on various products

      -Responsible for lab equipment set up, maintenance, calibration, and operation. Equipment includes: refractometer, automatic titrator, pH meter, colorimeter, scales, Bostwick, Brookfield viscometer, etc.

      -Sample and test finished product goods, materials, and environmental samples.

      -Audit production lines for quality including code dates, fill weights, metal detection, package integrity.

      -Prepare microbial testing - agar, buffer, dilution bottles, swabs, petrifilm

      -Perform other duties as assigned.

      3rd Shift | M-F | 10pm-630am or 830am some days

      Qualifications

      Must Have:

      -High School Diploma Required, Bachelors Degree in Science Discipline Preferred

      -Minimum 1 year of college level science courses/labs required

      -Minimum 1 year of industry lab experience in GMP food manufacturing environment.

      -Ability to work 3rd shift

      Nice to Have:

      -SAP or quality management software experience

      -Food Science Degree

      The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
