What You'll Do:

Job Overview-
As a skilled professional with a passion for winemaking, you'll be responsible for conducting physical, microbiological and chemical assessments of alcoholic beverages, grapes, grape derivatives, water, incoming substances, and other relevant materials. Working closely with supervisors, you'll ensure that quality assurance, winemaking, and environmental surveillance are carried out to the highest standard, facilitating the production of exceptional winery products and aiding in the analysis of winery procedures. Job Responsibilities-

• Perform all duties with an understanding of the lab’s commitment to quality and customer service as outlined in the laboratory’s ISO 17025-compliant quality management system.
• Supports microbiological analysis and preparation such as, sampling, monitoring of bottling lines for sanitation efficacy, media prep, sterilizing bottles, and saline bottle prep as directed.
• Operates equipment such as auto-titrators, refractometers, densitometers, gas chromatographs, infrared analyzers, and spectrophotometers.
• Performs laboratory instrument calibration and preventative maintenance as required.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree with a combined 20 college coursework units of chemistry, biology, and/or microbiology; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years or 4 seasons of paid laboratory experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibilities; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 20 college coursework units of chemistry, biology, and/or microbiology plus 2 years of chemistry/microbiology laboratory experience.
• Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
• Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
• Required to maintain 3 shift availability (day, swing, and graveyard); required to work overtime when necessary; required to work weekends when necessary
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation :

• Hiring Salary Range Posted: $24.13 - $32.60 / hour
• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
