Job Description

- Ensure that the Atlas Group is meeting customer requirements of Quality and Delivery
- Resolve Quality related issues by coordinating with appropriate people, departments and or personnel immediately
- Monitor NCR database trends
- Facilitate weekly NCR and Quality Meetings
- Ensure accurate and clear documentation in the NCR system
- Drive accountability by attaching names to the quality problems (inspectors, machines, suppliers)
- Create and implement Quality Metrics
- Utilize metrics as a tool for continuous improvement.
- Disposition nonconforming product after reviewing input from all departments as needed
- Assist quality department as needed by performing any or all of the following tasks.
- Verify incoming products to ensure products are per purchase orders and customer requirements.
- Verify dimensions of machined parts or tooling using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, coordinate measuring machines (CMM) or other specialized measuring instruments.
- Perform tests such as hardness and conductivity.
- Verify in process, final inspection and processing operations to customer specifications.
- Maintain and ensure the calibration of precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, height gauges and other measuring devices.
- Ensure people in the Quality organization are productive
- Determine the skill sets of the people and utilize skill sets accordingly
- Ensure the right people are working on the right job at all times
- Optimize utilization of manpower and equipment
- Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor.
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports.
- Surface quality problems and make sure they are resolved through corrective action process.
- Drive Quality forward to the production process level.
- Taken inspection to the floor level.
Atlas Aerospace, WASI Division, has an immediate opportunity for a Quality Manager?.? The Quality Manager will monitor and manage the quality level of the Atlas Group by monitoring performance levels of the company. The quality department is responsible for ensuring in-process and final assembled parts meet or exceed the minimum established quality levels. Further responsible for ensuring procedures are followed, resolving quality related issues with our customers and employees; the generation of reports, tracking of data and the recommendation of process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Quality Managers goals should be in alignment with the companies.
