We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Quality Manager in Morton IL.

      The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

      Job Summary:

      • This Quality Manager oversees the administration and continual improvement of Morton’s quality team.

      Additional Info:

      • This role is based in Morton IL and does not offer relocation
      • This role is 1st shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm
      • This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules

      What You Will Do:

      • Supporting development and execution of quality assurance strategies, processes, guidelines and control plans which assure quality and reliability of manufactured products.
      • Leading the development and implementation of corrective action and preventive measures to achieve quality targets.
      • Identifying and sharing information on non-conformance and trends in a timely manner.
      • Leading, managing and developing multiple teams, team leaders, quality specialists and inspectors to assure that quality standards are met.
      • Developing and reviewing reports to review to solve quality issues.

      What You Have (Required Skills):

      • Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational and tactical planning in support of the overall business plan.
      • Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
      • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
      • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences.

      What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

      • Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
      • Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
      • Prior leadership experience
      • Experience with Inbound Quality Inspections, Quality Part Reports, & Engineering Change Requests
      • Knowledge of basic print reading & geometric dimensioning & tolerances

      • In this role, you will gain exposure to plenty of different locations and teams within quality. This includes global interface with teams in Grimbergen and India! The individual in this role will gain not only technical quality experience, but also leadership experience!

      Summary Pay Range:

      $87,480.00 - $131,280.00

      Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
