      Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager


      Job Description

      This position is for a Quality Assurance Manager who will lead and manage the QA department. The role involves ensuring compliance with quality and food safety standards by following regulatory requirements, standardized operating procedures (SOPs), and policies.

      Responsibilities

      • Possess knowledge of Micro testing in a manufacturing facility.
      • Hire, train, develop, and coach a team of quality assurance employees.
      • Ensure accuracy and efficiency of liquid batching and all quality assurance testing and record-keeping.
      • Monitor and maintain sanitation accountability.
      • Assist other department managers with process equipment and troubleshooting.
      • Responsible for the overall safety and accountability standards of all employees within the QA department.
      • Manage the Profit and Loss budget and monitor spending controls for the department.
      • Drive continuous improvement and project management practices.

      Essential Skills

      • Quality assurance and quality control.
      • ISO standards and continuous process improvement.
      • Kaizen, Quality management, Quality management system.
      • Lean Six Sigma and microbiology.
      • Manufacturing environment experience.
      • 5+ years of experience in a managerial role.
      • Root cause analysis and corrective action plans.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Experience in commissioning new products and water testing.
      • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years relevant experience.
      • Food & Beverage industry experience.
      • HACCP certification preferred.
      • Strong computer skills or other quality management system knowledge preferred.
      • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma practices, including Continuous Improvement, Project Management, Manufacturing Practices (Kaizen, 5S, GMPs), and Lean metrics.
      • Knowledge of Principles of Manufacturing Management and Food Safety preferred.
      • Capability to perform periodic internal audits and understand compliance standards.
      • Ability to manage a self-guided workforce, utilizing effective leadership and communication skills.
      • Experience in fostering the Change Management process.
      • Knowledge of specific supply chain capabilities, strategies, and interdependencies.
      • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and coordinate efforts around process improvement.
      • Understanding of national, state, and local regulatory requirements for Food Safety, Safety, Environment, and Emergency Management.
      • Ability to analyze key business drivers (metrics) used to gauge the effectiveness and performance of an internal group or supplier.
      • Demonstrated ability with Statistical Process Control practices.

      Work Environment

      Brand new state-of-the-art bottling manufacturing facility. The shift is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, but the operation runs close to 24/7, so you might be called in or need to be available occasionally on a weekend. There is potential for an annual bonus of up to 15% of salary.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $96000.00 - $113000.00/yr.

      15% + bonus most years, awesome state of the art new facility

      This is a fully onsite position in Olathe,KS.
