      Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems, Advanced Weapons is seeking Quality Systems Assistant 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our Northridge, CA location. Qualified candidates must work as part of a team, demonstrate a high level of attention to detail, possess the ability to plan ahead and be customer-support focused. Individuals must also have demonstrated ability to evaluate whether documents, instructions and procedures are being followed during execution, and demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

      The Quality Systems Assistant 4 will support the various functions of the Quality and Mission Assurance department. Candidates will be required to have high organization and communication skills, investigating and problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.

      Responsibilities:

      • Review documentation for format, accuracy, and requirements following Northrop Grumman procedures. Follows documentation review process via multiple systems and ensures compliance
      • Prepare documented processes and training packages for review and release
      • Reviews input/output data to verify completeness, accuracy, and conformance to quality standards and specifications
      • Interprets and gathers information from a variety of sources to update records accurately
      • Assists Quality/Mission Assurance in maintaining control of materials and records
      • Monitor and manage nonconforming material
      • Processes and moves material on the production floor and updates associated records
      • Monitors databases and provides status to affected program and/or functional teams
      • Conduct or support internal audits, process observations and area assessments
      • Investigate internal audit-related findings and helps coordinate activities to resolve issues
      • Provide administrative support for various quality management systems

      Basic Qualifications:

      • High School diploma or equivalent, and 6 years additional education and/or related experience
      • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
      • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documented processes for accuracy
      • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel
      • Proficient computer skills (MS Office) and ability to learn new computer programs easily
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks with high attention to detail and accuracy
      • Ability to work in a team environment

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience with AS9100 and/or CMMI requirements
      • Experience with nonconformance and corrective action processes
      • Experience with Deltek’s Costpoint or TipQA
      • Experience with internal or external audits
      • Current/Active Secret Security Clearance

      Salary Range: $64,600.00 - $107,600.00

      The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

      Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
