      The Quality Technician 2 will be responsible for supporting and maintaining applicable Quality System requirements for Commercial Operations. This includes but is not limited to batch characteristic maintenance, coordinating non-conforming material movements with 3PL, visual/dimensional/functional inspections of incoming purchased product as well as product re- worked/repackaged/manufactured/assembled in-house, determining if product meets specifications and documenting these decisions.

      What will you be doing?

      • Use SAP system to perform multiple transactions including batch creation/characteristic maintenance, stock movements, SLOC maintenance, non-conforming material quarantine, and quality release

      • Support the qualification/validation processes for company product

      • Perform first article inspections, and engineering led studies when required

      • Review corresponding product documentation to verify acceptability per specification and QSR requirements

      • Use SmartSolve system to perform Non-Conformance Initiation and Investigation

      • Inspect raw materials, components, assembled product, semi-finished product & finished product per inspection procedures/drawings and to print specifications

      • Apply attribute and variable measuring equipment/gauges as well as mating parts to determine as found/as left conditions of product

      • Support department and organizational objectives

      • Represent and promote quality standards

      Shift/Hours:

      Mon – Fri – 8:00am – 4:30pm

      What will you need to be successful?

      • Education:

        • High School Diploma or GED required

        • Associate’s degree (A.S.) from two-year college or technical school preferred

      • Experience:

        • 3+ years of SAP or other ERP system experience is required (using multiple SAP/ERP systems to resolve discrepancies is a plus)

        • 3+ years of work experience in related field and/or performing in a quality technician role that includes inspecting product per inspection procedures/drawings and to print specifications applying attribute and variable measuring equipment/gauges is required

        • ASQ CQI/CQT certification a plus

      • Understanding of good manufacturing practices

      • Ability to work in independently and in a team setting

      • Must possess good communication and documentation skills to maintain neat and accurate records

      • Ability to work in a manufacturing and/or clean room environment

      • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and drawing print interpretation

      • Must be capable of detecting nonconformities while performing inspections

      • Ability to make product judgments against applicable specifications

      • Apply attribute and variable measuring equipment/gauges as well as mating parts to determine as found/as left conditions of product

      • Physical Demands: Sitting/Standing 60%. Walking 30%. Carry up to 20 lbs 10%.

      • Travel Requirements: 0-5%
