- Conduct in-process and finished product analyses, ensuring conformance to specifications. Record, analyze, and act on test results.
- Utilize statistical process control (SPC) charts to monitor trends and deviations. Notify supervisors and quality engineers of out-of-control situations.
- Develop and maintain inspection reports, issue certificates of analysis (COAs), and ensure product traceability and compliance.
- Collect product samples from manufacturing, and test product following prescribed methods, recording results, and taking appropriate action based on results.
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety standards.
- Evaluate test data, interpret results, and communicate with supervisors and quality engineers based on product specifications and control limits.
- Identify and process non-conforming materials, quality alerts, on-holds, and rejections. Track order status and support material remakes or shipment holds as necessary.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles and identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
- Conduct routine audits (SPCSG, NPD, NDC, and static audits) and maintain pre-control and control charts, recalculating limits at defined intervals.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation for testing procedures, lab procedures, and customer orders.
- Participate in problem resolution, promptly addressing or escalating issues for corrective action.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or vocational education/training preferred or minimum of 2 years experience in quality.
- Ability to use judgment in the analysis of facts and in the determination of actions to be taken within standard practice
- Knowledge of basic statistics, product, and process quality standards.
- Experience in quality control testing, data analysis, and SPC methodology.
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with supervisors and cross-functional teams.
- A proactive approach to quality control, with an emphasis on accuracy, communication, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring product quality and adherence to specifications throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves planning and arranging daily tasks based on activity schedules, conducting tests and analyses, and collaborating with operations and quality engineers to support production and continuous improvement efforts.
