      The Risk Research, Analysis, and Measurement team (RAM) provides independent quantitative investment risk measurement and analysis at Capital Group, globally and across asset classes. RAM plays a pivotal role in supporting investment results, risk management processes, and shaping risk analytics use at Capital Group.

      As a member of the Quantitative Research and Analytics group (QRA) at Capital Group (CG), you will conduct rigorous peer-reviewed quantitative research and analysis. As an Analyst in RAM, you will work collaboratively to drive investment risk research, strengthen risk assessment frameworks, enhance scenario analysis, and provide actionable risk insights to empower investment leaders. You will also share responsibility for developing the QRA organization and mentoring team members.

      In this role you will:

      1. Drive Risk Research & Analysis - Develop and improve risk methodologies and frameworks, monitor processes, and assess portfolios across strategies.
      2. Deliver Actionable Insights - Conduct analyses to inform risk decisions, proactively exploring new evaluation methods.
      3. Influence Risk Oversight & Investment Process - Collaborate with investors and governance bodies to incorporate risk metrics into systems.
      4. Drive Innovation & Collaboration - Partner with teams to develop tools, frameworks, and strategic initiatives.
      5. Enhance Risk Transparency & Alignment - Represent risk practices, educate stakeholders, and ensure industry alignment.
      6. Grow as a Leader - Act as a thought leader, stay current with research, mentor colleagues, and foster organizational growth.

      We are seeking a candidate who:

      • Has at least 10 years of relevant experience in investment risk research, analysis, and modeling.
      • Holds an advanced degree (MFE, MSc, PhD) in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.
      • Is an innovative researcher with a strong track record in quantitative risk research, comfortable exploring new questions.
      • Has demonstrated risk modeling expertise using platforms like MSCI BarraOne, BlackRock Aladdin, statistical packages like R, and coding languages such as Python.
      • Is a strategic thinker capable of translating complex analysis into clear recommendations.
      • Is collaborative, influential, proactive in problem-solving, and effective in communication.
