      Qualifications

      Applicants should have a minimum of 104 UCAS points at A-level (grades BCC), or
      equivalent qualification with one being Chemistry or an equivalent scientific
      discipline.
      We will evaluate any applicants who do not meet these requirements but have
      relevant workplace experience or other equivalent qualifications (eg BTEC
      diploma/extended diploma in a scientific discipline).
      Applicants also need GCSE Mathematics and English Language (grade A*-C / 9-4)
      or equivalent – or must complete Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications alongside
      the apprenticeship.

      Responsibilities

      • Play an active role in improvement activities.
      • To contribute to the effective running of the team by adopting a flexible attitude to working practices
      • To execute allocated work within agreed deadlines, in accordance with procedures.
      • Gain an understanding of different fire test standards
      • To represent the Company when required on national and international trade bodies and committees.
      • Support the Fire Engineering and Estimation Team with fire test data and competitor data comparisons
      • Create steel fire test packages in accordance with the required fire test standard specification.
      • Support the global sales, technical support and PDM teams to meet the product assessment needs of their local regions.
      • Is proactive in the approach to process improvement, offering new ideas and encouraging others to do the same
      • Is prepared to undertake training in a positive manner both for self-development and for the provision of departmental cover
      • Encourages and develops a team culture both within own team and across the company
      • Achievement of effective communication both within own team and between teams
      • Ensures a proactive approach to implementation of all H&S and security requirements.
