Maintain Design History Files, Standards assessments, and compliance improvements
Support the MDR, non-MDR, Global STED Submission Schedules
Execute on Submission Research and Development deliverables
Build more robust and efficient systems related to European Medical Device Regulation, Design History File remediation, design control, and Design History File maintenance
Ensure customer trust with quality, compliance, and safety
Enhance culture via focus and action to drive diversity, equity, and inclusion
Maintain disciplined cost management while reinvesting in differentiated growth opportunities
Support Research and Development lead projects, strategic efforts via robust Business Development pipeline and other business critical interruptions
Work with cross functional partners to build consensus priority and alignment on new charters/projects process for the Design and Development Team
Support quality audits in design centers and manufacturing locations and change Development Process improvements, supplier quality initiatives, and related programs
Provide input on budget, resources and timing considerations for each submission and budgetary cost estimates (capital, expense)
Applies basic concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks
Works on projects of limited scope and complexity
Follows established procedures to resolve readily identifiable technical problems
Works under direct supervision and receives detailed instructions
Develops competence by performing structured work assignments
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in related field preferred
3 months related work experience in engineering field preferred
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as a member of a team

What R & D Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health
Research and Development Engineering is responsible for developing and implementing new products through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering and documentation practices.
Location: Mansfield, MA
Schedule: Onsite Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Job Summary
The entry level R&D Engineer will support the Design and Development Services team. The DDS team supports legacy products and new product development designs through ensuring adherence to design controls, industry standards and internal SOPs. The DDS team supports MDD/MDR compliance from an R&D perspective for products sold in CE-marked countries.
