      If you are an Engineering student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting position for you as an R&D Engineering Intern! Based in our Houston location, you will work within a team that provides support and development of solutions for our manufacturing production operations to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost position. You will work closely with the manufacturing engineering and other functional groups to deploy solutions to better serve our internal and external customers.

      In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

      • Apply technical expertise in the production of products
      • Select, design or recommend tools, fixtures, and equipment.
      • Recommend design changes to increase quality or reduce problems and costs
      • Solve production problems and improve process capabilities
      • Participate in the presentation of test results and design reviews
      • Interact with other functional groups, vendors, or customers
      • Participate in the administration of technical procedures
      • Initiate and implement routine engineering change authorizations
      • Support capacity model and lean initiatives. May participate in lean six sigma improvement teams
      • May interact with teammates in numerous global locations

      For This Role, You Will Need:
      • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering or Science from an Engineering School (First Year, Sophomore, & Junior students will be considered)
      • Zero (0) years of related experience
      • Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person
      • Legal authorization to work in the United States
      Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
      • GPA of 3.0 or above
      • CAD experience a plus
      • Prior internship experience
