      About the role

      Work Location: Butterworth, Penang (MY)
      Reporting To: Category Technologist Lead APMEA (RDA)

      Key responsibilities

      Raw Materials management:
      o Learn and hands on RM functionality assessment (physical, chemical, sensory, microbiological) and document review.
      o Learn and understand processes and way of working to approve RM into plant
      o Learn and exposed to RM project management skill.
      o Undertake tasks/project assigned under the guidance & supervision of Category Technologist Lead

      RD&A Commercialization:
      o Understanding of NPI Scale-Up process
      o Overview of plant production process and QA function
      o Production trial runs, coordination, process validation, reporting and documentations

      QA:
      o Understanding QA Process and Functions
      o Overview analytical capabilities and equipment
      o Incoming RM and online FG testing analysis (physical, chemical, microbe)
      o Overview procedure for shelf-life extension, rework, allergen, and pest control
      o Overview of Quality Systems – FSSC, HACCP, GMP, PRP, AIB, Halal

      Production:
      o Understanding production process and equipment function
      o Understand production schedule and sequence
      o CIP & Sanitation Process

      Qualifications and skills

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, and related science field.
      • Strong interest in gaining knowledge of Research & Development of Taste & Nutritional ingredients.
      • Adaptable with a willing to learn mind set who is open to be guided by senior team members
      • Good communication, writing and presentation in English & collaboration skills
      • Meticulous and strong attention to details
