Job Description

- Build ETL pipelines to integrate data from laboratory instruments in a knowledge graph
- Create database queries to support effective use of the laboratory instrument data
- Implement internal and industry best practices for DevOps and cloud engineering
- Develop our extensions of the Allotrope Foundation’s standards
- Semantic web technology stack (e.g., RDF data format, SPARQL query language)
- Amazon Web Services, particularly the serverless services (e.g., Lambda, Glue, Step Functions)
- Data engineering (e.g., SQL queries, ETL jobs)
- Programming in Python
- Experience with DevSecOps practices like continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD), source code version control (e.g., Git), infrastructure-as-code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform), and containers (e.g., Docker).
- Cheminformatics and familiarity with the pharmaceutical research
- Good communication and collaboration skills, and ability to collaborate with other teams to develop solutions.
- Experience with Atlassian stack of tools for agile software development (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Demonstrate growth mindset and ability to work with enterprise teams.

Job Description
Our company seeking a semantic data engineer into the Knowledge Graph & Semantic Engineering Services team for our Prague Tech Center. This team focuses on making use of research data efficient in support of data-driven drug discovery. We create reusable data products that provide analysis-ready data to our data scientists advancing pharmaceutical research. We design and implement tools for data acquisition, integration, and enrichment using semantic web technologies and data exchange standards to reduce the friction and duplication of application-specific data engineering effort.
We are looking for a semantic data engineer to support integration of laboratory instrument data using the industry standards from the Allotrope Foundation. In this role, the data engineer will enable frictionless data flow by using automation, data standards, and by following FAIR principles.
