      Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

      We are looking for a Testing Engineer for our HQ based in Quattordio (AL).

      The person will be in charge of mechanical tests on submarine cable systems to assess their capability to withstand mechanical stresses.

      He/her will use a theoretical approach to set up optimized test circuit, measure instruments and liaise with the internal customers / engineering teams (HQ departments or local R&D) to understand the Project needs.

      He/her will coordinate laboratory operators involved in the testing, run the testing activities and analyse the test results. According to his/her seniority/expertise, the candidate will also define the scheduling of the tests and lead R&D related projects.

      Who are we looking for?

      We are looking for a Testing Engineer with the following skills and competencies:

      • Around 2 years of professional experience in Testing laboratories;

      • A master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degrees;

      • Proactiveness and accuracy;

      • Real passion for laboratory activities;

      • Outstanding teamwork attitude;

      • Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills;

      • Fluent in English both written and spoken;

      • Availability to travel;

      • A real interest / competence in electrical engineering related aspects would be a strong plus, as well as in welding activities
