      The opportunity

      Join our Product Evaluation and Qualification team at Hitachi Energy Semiconductors in Lenzburg!

      As R&D (Senior) SiC Test Engineer you will ensure to deliver faultless, robust semiconductor chips and power modules through a qualification process.

      Our products are delivered to a wide range of customers worldwide for different industrial applications as well as renewable energy, traction, and eMobility.

      To strengthen our testing activities, we are looking for a highly motivated SiC Test Engineer. While we are ideally seeking a senior-level professional, we also welcome applications from junior candidates who demonstrate strong potential and a willingness to grow into the role.

      How you’ll make an impact

      • Contribute to development projects related to next generation SiC semiconductor chips and power modules

      • Collaborate closely with R&D design, process, and product engineering teams to evaluate the performance of new platforms

      • Lead, execute, and monitor various electrical tests to ensure product quality, leveraging your knowledge of electrical components and test systems

      • Analyse test result data and provide technical recommendations

      • Communicate key findings clearly to project stakeholders through reports and presentations

      • Drive continuous improvement in testing laboratory activities to enhance customer satisfaction

      • Ensure compliance with safety rules, environmental protection, and maintain cleanliness and order in the test laboratories

      Your background

      • Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a strong focus on SiC-based semiconductor devices or power electronics

      • Proven experience in power electronics, the semiconductor industry, and SiC testing.

      • Familiarity with modern software tools and platforms, preferably including Python, LabVIEW, CAD software, and statistical data analysis tools

      • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present results clearly

      • Fluency in English; German is a plus
