- Supporting commercialization product validation and continuous improvement projects.
- Performing lab testing including scale ups, test methods and heat age stability.
- Support of routine experiments, recording results and learning basic knowledge of equipment/computing tools to capture and record data.
- Communication within the project team regarding project needs and status.
- Developing basic knowledge and understanding of processing and raw materials.
- Executes and analyzes experiments and provides regular updates.
- Establishes timeline for assignments based on priorities with assistance from their supervisor. Identifies and resolves hurdles.
- Writes basic reports, outlines procedures used, and results obtained.
- Recognizes problems and implements corrective actions to resolve the issue.
- Analyzes data, begins to draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Proficient in operating moderately complex lab instruments.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Commercialization Engineering Team is seeking a technician to support the commercialization process for new and existing paint products. This role i s accountable for routine experiments, recording results, and demonstrating basic knowledge of raw materials and basic equipment/computing tools to capture and record data. Has familiarity with scientific principles, products and/ or processes. Independently performs basic tasks with progress and results infrequently checked except when working on more complex operations.

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATION:

• Must have a High School Diploma
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Proven problem-solving / decision-making ability
• 1 Year of experience in a lab settingPreferred:
• Previous Commercialization and/or paint making experience
• Ability to interact effectively with various levels of technical experienceUpon completion of construction, the individual selected for this role will primarily work at the new Sherwin-Williams Global Technology Center in Brecksville, Ohio. Construction is expected to be complete in 2025. Until then, the role will be based at Breen Technology Center, located at 601 Canal Road, Cleveland, OH 44113.
