      Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Radar Systems Test Engineer for the 96 Cyberspace Test Group (96 CTG) contract, supporting the Astrion Air Force Division.

      JOB DETAILS

      LOCATION: Patrick SFB, FL

      JOB STATUS: Full Time

      TRAVEL: 25% CONUS / OCONUS

      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

      • Master’s degree in a STEM field, or additional years of qualifying experience
      • A minimum of 10 years of work experience, or additional years’ experience for degree substitution
      • An active Secret security clearance is required for consideration with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
      • Experience with adaptive signal processing to include space-time adaptive processing, radar systems analysis, and bistatic radar theory
      • A strong background in integration and test methods, processes, and development of integration and flight test plans and procedures
      • Experience with strategic communications, command, and control architectures associated with National Defense systems
      • Must be a self-motivated expert able to take responsibility for identifying, organizing, coordinating, executing necessary tasks leading to the successful accomplishment of assigned duties
      • Must be capable of traveling to contractors' facilities, test sites, and other locations, both CONUS and OCONUS to perform testing activities
      • Demonstrated experience in use and application of one or more of the following math packages common in data science: MATLAB, JMP, and/or SAS
      • Demonstrated experience in use and application of one or more of the following programming languages common in data science: Python, R, Java, SQL, and/or NoSQL
      • Must be able to effectively communicate orally and possess technical writing skills

      DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

      • An understanding of developmental test and evaluation processes, specifically, acquisition program development and detailed knowledge of Air Force C2 test methodologies including DODI5000.89_DAFI 99-103 is highly desirable
      • Experience developing, interpreting, analyzing, and employing digital models coded using Systems Modeling Language and/or other relatable Model-based System Engineering tools is desirable
      • Active Top Secret Clearance/SCI is highly desirable

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • This skill level typically performs all functional duties independently; must also possess strong collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams
      • Provide technical support, conduct data analysis and apply knowledge of engineering technology across a wide variety of test activities
      • Perform as a member of the airborne- and ground-based test team charged with executing developmental testing of militarized surveillance systems operating over all frequency bands and all security levels while using terrestrial and space-based mediums/architectures
      • Perform a variety of developmental test-related tasks, to include, planning, execution, logistics, sustainment, operations analysis, manufacturing product assurance, technical studies, and various analyses and support activities including resource allocation, human factors, safety, program/system security, command and control, intelligence, reliability and maintainability, quality assurance, and technical and engineering capability to ensure operational safety, suitability, and effectiveness
      • Prepare written communications to document results of meetings, conferences, and test execution events
      • Develop and review test architectures for the system under test and coordinate test resources, support assets, and data collection device availability to ensure successful test events
      • Support data analysis working groups to measure system performance and conduct root cause analysis on identified deficiencies
      • Conduct technical research, development, test and evaluation, and reporting of emerging technological systems affecting the performance of all interrelated programs.
      • Analyze post-test results in a timely fashion to meet final test reporting timelines
      • Brief test results and test working groups and organizational staff meetings
