      Job summary

      We are offering an exciting opportunity for band 4 Radiology Assistant Practitioner to join our growing friendly radiology department at Velindre Cancer Centre.

      We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced assistant practitioner wishing to expand their knowledge and experience at a purpose built Cancer Centre, providing world class cancer care to the people of South East Wales.

      Main duties of the job

      You will provide, high quality images in accordance with Radiation Regulations and departmental protocols and procedures. You will be required to assist the radiographic and radiology staff in performing a range of imaging procedures, ensure completion of daily workload in an efficient manner and that all patients are well cared for. For this role you will need to be energetic, positive, hardworking and enthusiastic. Have an ability to work at pace, to multi task and to prioritise. You will enjoy working with a range of tasks and will need to possess outstanding interpersonal and communications skills. You will be computer literate, be conscientious and be able to deal with confidential and sensitive issues.

      The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
