- Full Time/Part Time: Full-time
- Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm; occasinal weekend or evening work as needed

- Performs data collection and assists with managing programs run by the Quality Team (10%)
- Assists the Quality & Compliance Manager with managing the Lung Cancer Screening Program
- Assists with management of the ACR Lung Screening quality registry.
- Verifies that CT Lung Screening orders are clinically appropriate and that all criteria are met for the order.
- Manages order process for annual lung screening CT, which includes reminder letters and patient education.
- Assists with the expansion and improvement of the lung screening program under the direction of the Quality & Compliance coordinator. Duties may include development of marketing materials, communicating with referring providers, and arranging meetings for relevant stakeholders.
- Manages Prostate MRI data, Breast Health MRI data, and MRI Arthroscopy Data.
- Perform chart review to obtain prostate MRI data to provide to the Quality & Compliance Coordinator for analysis.
- Obtains prostate biopsy results for inclusion in the data set.
- Gathers patient data on breast imaging exams, including Breast MRI, MRI guided biopsies and Ultrasound guided breast biopsies.
- Provide a list of arthroscopic surgeries done at DMG alone with the associated pre-op MRI to the Chair Radiologist of MSK
- Assists the Quality & Compliance Manager with managing the Lung Cancer Screening Program
- Reviews RL6 submissions and evaluates for trends and potential safety hazards. Performs root cause analysis as needed.
- Various other data mining projects as requested. These include time tracking data, radiologist turnaround times, and patient volumes.
- Organizes all necessary policies and procedures required to successfully pass the American College of Radiology (ACR) audit when needed
- Collaborates with modality leaders to see to it that Emergency Prep Plans are reviewed and updated annually.
- Facilitation of Department workflows to ensure timely reading of exams and result communication (20%)
- Daily management of EPIC Begin list in conjunction with the Enterprise Apps team, send and receive EPIC staff messages, and monitor/manage unsigned studies list for all modalities.
- Directs the communication between the referring physician and the radiologists for all critical findings.
- Effectively handles stat/critical results calls, ensuring prompt communication and appropriate follow-up actions.
- Monitors the follow up list ensuring critical findings and follow-up recommendations from the radiologist are communicated to the ordering providers.
- Assist schedulers by addressing their inquiries, such as providing guidance on protocols, handling addendum requests, and facilitating communication between providers and radiologists.
- Track technologist errors to identify any trends and optimize workflows to prevent recurrence.
- Manage Radiologist Workflow (50%)
- Strategically orchestrate the workflow for radiologists, optimizing productivity and efficiency in study interpretation.
- Manage manual distribution of over 700 radiology studies daily, ensuring timely and accurate assignment.
- Makes certain that cases are assigned to the appropriate radiologists per their subspecialties.
- Sees to it that all studies were promptly assigned and read, adhering to established protocols and SLA agreements.
- Assists with mammography credit tracking, ensuring accurate and equal caseload, as needed.
- Assists with facilitating DEXA dictations for both Duly and SBC, handling approximately 70 dictations daily with a 48-hour turnaround time.
- Oversees the radiologist peer review process, promoting quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Retrieves cases for breast imaging radiologists from the manager, optimizing workflow and resources as needed
- Facilitates radiologist vacation picks biannually.
- Assists during radiologist downtime, facilitating continuous workflow and minimizing disruptions.
- Radiology Employee Wellness Committee (5%)
- Co-runs the wellness committee, organizing monthly meetings, and collaborating with the radiologist wellness committee to promote staff well-being.
- Meets regularly with chief radiologist and technologists of the committee to facilitate communication between leadership and staff regarding wellness concerns and advocate for a healthy work environment.
- Focuses on creating an inclusive and collaborative environment and fostering engagement and belonging.
- IT Support (15%)
- Conduct PACS corrections, maintaining system accuracy and disruption of timely reading.
- Support radiologists with issues pertaining to Epic, Merge, and Powerscribe.
- Assesses the performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of the PACS system to identify areas of improvement.
- Investigating and resolving technical issues related to the PACS system, including image retrieval, storage, and viewing problems.
- Familiar with troubleshooting Merge and Synapse to offer radiologist support.
- Education:
- Associates Degree required
- Bachelor's prefered
- Experience:
- 5 years of experience in technologist role or licensed clinical role.
- Skills:
- Knowledge of windows applications for computers
- Understand and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work with patients of all ages with psychiatric conditions
- Basic knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Certification:
