Worthing & Southlands Radiology Nurses take responsibility for the clinical nursing care of patients attending the radiology department. We provide a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic image guided services that require hands on nursing care from our team. Radiology Nurses are also play a pivotal part in Interventional Radiology or IR, which is a form of image guided surgery that uses imaging techniques to guide equipment to parts of the body that surgeons couldn't normally reach without an open operation.

The Radiology Nurse's key role is to act as a role model and ensure effective staff supervision with clinical practice, working with staff and patients in an advisory, teaching and support capacity and maintaining professional competence, authority and credibility.

  • About the company

National Health Service (NHS) is the umbrella term for the publicly-funded healthcare systems of the United Kingdom (UK). The founding principles were that services should be comprehensive, universal and free at the point of delivery—a health service based on clinical need, not ability to pay. Each service provides a comprehensive range of health services, free at the point of use for people ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom apart from dental treatment and optical care.
