Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved medical exemption is required to start work.

      Job Description

      The Radiopharmacy Technician is a technically skilled individual that assists Nuclear Pharmacists in the Molecular Imaging and Therapy Services (MITS) with the preparation and dispensing of radioactive drugs for cancer patients. The technician responsibilities include following Standard Operating Procedures for the safe preparation and dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals used for Diagnostic, Therapeutic and Research use. Tasks involve performing Quality Control (QC) testing on various drug samples, facility and equipment maintenance & cleaning, radiopharmaceutical package receiving and shipment, performing radiation safety functions, and waste management. The technician is a member of the multidisciplinary team whose skills are fundamental to MITS Pharmacy’s success in supplying safe clinical-grade drugs to our patients.

      Requirements:

      We are seeking the following skills/experience:

      • Required Skills/Experience:
        • Candidate must have impeccable communication skills
        • Candidate must have excellent organizational skills for data and document management
        • Ability to adapt in a highly dynamic environment
        • Must be a team player with patient-centric focus
      • Preferred Skills/Experience:
        • Certified Nuclear Pharmacy Technician preferred
        • Pharmacy Compounding of sterile preparations (working knowledge of USP 797 & 825)
        • PTCB/NPH preferred
        • Omnicell experience preferred
        • PET/SPECT Radiopharmaceutical handling experience preferred

      Hours:

      • No On-call or Weekends
      • Monday - Friday 7.5 Hour Shifts
      • Pharmacy Hours-
        • Monday: 5:30 AM - 6 PM
        • Tuesday: 6 AM - 6 PM
        • Wednesday: 6 AM - 6 PM
        • Thursday: 6 AM - 6 PM
        • Friday: 6 AM - 6 PM
      • Start times vary based on patient case load - earliest start is 5:30 AM and latest start time is 10:00 AM (with some exceptions with unique therapy and research cases that are expanding rapidly)

      Pay Range $25.18-$37.75
