- Carload Operations - Provides Logistic support to internal and external customers using in-house computer systems. Handling customer requests, inventory control, processing bill of lading information, and exchanging railcars with other railways)
- Border Services - Supporting the seamless movement of time-sensitive cross-border rail traffic while working with US, Canadian, and Mexican Customs agents, Customs Brokers, and other internal CPKC departments and customs applications
- Intermodal Operations - Supporting customers and trucking drivers with appointments and processing of pickup and deliveries to/from CPKC’s intermodal terminals
- Other Support Departments - Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Equipment Accounting, Supplemental Services/Demurrage, and Employee Services
- This position exercises urgency, judgment, and accuracy in processing transactions that come through e-mail, phone calls, and other internal applications
- Complete transactions in various programs to provide logistic support and maintain accurate inventory and billing records to support the business
- The ability to meet performance targets as they pertain to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for various inbound work queues
- Professionally provide internal and external customers with timely and accurate information supporting the delivery of transportation services
- Be able to work independently to problem-solve logistic and inventory issues as they arise using existing process libraries and resources
- Maintaining consistent and punctual attendance to scheduled work hours is essential to the success of the position and the entire business group
- Identify opportunities for business process improvement
- High School education; required
- Bachor’s degree or Associate degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Arts; preferred
- Bilingual in English and French or Spanish; an asset
- Enjoy working with various computer applications and contributing through the efficient learning of new programs . Proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Excel, Word, OneNote, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Communication tools (MS Outlook, MS Teams, Soft Phones such as Avaya or Amazon Connect; an asset)
- Billing / Enterprise software (SAP, CRM or other billing software are all assets)
- Strong keyboarding skills
- An understanding of:
- Consumer math (billing and weight calculations)
- Canadian Geography (major Provinces and Cities)
- Common Cyber Security Practices
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills
- Results-oriented with a sense of urgency, and the ability to use time management to accomplish work requirements
- Strong written and oral skills to respond to internal and external requests for information
- Ability to interact professionally and constructively with both co-workers and customers working in a team environment
- Ability to perform in a 24x7 environment, including scheduled shifts during:
- Days (ex. 0730-1530)
- Evenings (ex. 1530-2330)
- Overnights (ex. 2330-0730)
- Shifts on Saturday/Sunday and Stat Holidays are possible
- On-call availability is not required

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
You will be part of our Network Service Centre office in Winnipeg, an organization of highly skilled Railroad employees dedicated to meeting and exceeding internal and external customer requirements in a 24/7 operation. Our Network Service Centre encompasses a variety of roles supporting Railroad operations via a suite of computer applications:
This is a unionized position that will involve union membership with TC Local 1976 USW (United Steelworkers) and will be governed accordingly by the respective Collective Agreement including Income Security Agreement.
