      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct research on a range of domestic and international social policy issues
      - Present research findings to the RAND community through a formal briefing
      - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address applied research questions
      - Participate in mentorship activities and networking with other researchers
      - Attend seminars to enhance understanding of ongoing research and methodologies

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Full-time master’s or doctoral student in aerospace/aeronautical, electrical or mechanical engineering, computer or information science, applied mathematics, data science, artificial intelligence, physics, or related STEM fields
      - Strong analytical skills and proven ability in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods
      - Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
      - Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
      - Legal right to work in the United States upon hire

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Interest in applied, policy-oriented research questions
      - Experience in modeling and simulation, data mining methods, or related methodological areas
      - Familiarity with RAND's ongoing research portfolio
