What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research that can be completed during the summer assignment and present findings to the RAND community
- Collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Attend seminars and engage with researchers from various areas of expertise
- Work closely with mentors to develop and refine research skills
- Participate in networking opportunities with other researchers and professionals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Enrollment as a full-time master's or doctoral student in relevant fields such as operations research, industrial and systems engineering, or applied statistics
- Excellent analytic skills and proven ability in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing
- Commitment to RAND's core values of quality and objectivity
- Proof of legal right to work in the United States upon hire
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Interest in operations research, supply chain management, risk analysis, or related business fields
- Strong methodological expertise and experience in applied research
