  Job Description

  We’re looking for RDA – Extended Functions team members who are excited to support compassionate dental care in a busy rural health clinic. In this role, you’ll assist dentists in restorative dentistry and oral surgery, take x-rays, prepare equipment, and contribute to lab work. You’ll also support front-office tasks like scheduling, billing, and supply ordering.   Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for dental treatment

  • Assist dentists with procedures including restorative dentistry and oral surgery

  • Take dental x-rays and perform laboratory work

  • Prepare and maintain dental equipment and materials

  • Perform office duties including scheduling, billing, and ordering supplies

  • Participate in community health events as needed

  Collaborative Teamwork

  This role involves working closely with our team to deliver effective, patient- and community-focused services and contribute to a supportive and collaborative work environment.

  Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent

  • Certificate as a Registered Dental Assistant – Extended Functions

  • BLS certification (required and maintained)

  • Radiation safety course completion

  • One year of experience as a registered dental assistant

  • Coronal polishing and sealant certificates recommended

  • Demonstrated knowledge of dental health education

  • Ability to complete documentation accurately

  • English fluency required; Spanish preferred

  • Sound judgment, calm demeanor, and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to work evenings/weekends and attend community events

  • Must be able to put into practice Service Excellence skills with patients, families, and coworkers
