Overview:
JCC Rainbow Day Camp is proud to continue our Counselor in Training (CIT) Program. This program is open to high school students, ages 15 and 16, who are interested in a fun and rewarding summer job. Rainbow Day Camp’s goal for the program is to is to help teens gain valuable hands-on leadership skills needed to be a successful staff member. Throughout the program, CITs will work both independently and as part of a team. They will focus on developing trust, increasing their creative problem solving, growing their critical thinking, and improving effective communication skills. The program will bring together high school students from different communities around the Milwaukee and Ozaukee areas by offering leadership and job training while giving the students a fun and rewarding summer. CITs will participate in different training sessions including CPR certification, community service, leading activities, and much more.
The CIT program is :
Session Details:
• 18 CIT positions will be available per 4-week session
o All CITs must be available for entire session
o Cannot attend multiple sessions
• There will be 2 sessions (each 4-weeks in length)
o Session 1: June 17-July 12
o Session 2: July 15-August 9
• Application and interview are required for eligible candidates
o CITs should not sign up for camp via camper online registration
