      SUMMARY

      Maintains optimal inventory integrity and inventory placement by strategically and effectively arranging and relocating parts and designing and implementing warehouse inventory moves in the most efficient and effective means to increase Regional Distribution Center (RDC) efficiency and improve overall individual Warehouse Associate performance. Ensures overall as well as individual part number dollar value integrity by thoroughly researching and investigating inventory discrepancies before making all inventory count adjustments.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Thoroughly and independently investigates and resolves all warehouse inventory discrepancies and adjustments.
      • Maintains responsibility for the processing of all scrap orders and the entire cycle count process by ensuring that all internal accounting and external auditing criteria is enforced and adhered to.
      • Independently assigns Warehouse Associates to inventory count assignments and investigates and resolves all cycle count discrepancies.
      • Independently works with other Subaru of America (SOA) departments to conduct part inspections. Performs immediate corrective action if need arises after audit and, if needed, escalates more serious findings to either the Quality Department or the appropriate Service Department.
      • After independently conducting a root cause analysis, audit trails, and daily transactions, uses discretion and judgement to maintain all compare reports daily.
      • Resolves all cancel picks as they occur by conducting thorough research and making a decision based on subject matter knowledge.
      • Relieves reservations three times daily after thorough investigation.
      • Interprets any available re-warehousing tools available (including relevant programs and spreadsheets) for proper slotting and re-slotting of all warehouse inventory, resulting in a change in operational procedures in the warehouse.
      • Maintains responsibility for independently directing, training, motivating, and coaching Warehouse Associates and Lead Warehouse Associates regarding proper Inventory Procedures and provides leadership to this employee group with respect to inventory best practices and methodologies.
      • Formulates and implements inventory-related continuous improvement activities to enhance and improve overall warehouse efficacy and performance, promote teamwork, and ensure a safe work environment.
      • Performs inventory activities to align with governmental and regulatory requirements, including Hazardous Material markings, placards, etc.
      • Uses current and previous employment knowledge to implement lean inventory processes to improve productivity and accuracy throughout the Regional Distribution Center (RDC).
      • Works with Management when designing and implementing warehouse inventory moves to ensure the most efficient and effective process. Considers both short- and long-term planning when providing recommendations for process improvements.

      ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Ensures the development and adherence of policies, procedures, and processes for controlling the parts inventory throughout the entire RDC.
      • Ensures the proper use of time management with regards to the RDC employees in assigned area.
      • Ensures timely and efficient inventory processes are continuously in place to ensure a methodical flow of material through the RDC.
      • Works with the Warehouse Operations Manager(s) and RDC Manager to implement lean warehousing processes to improve productivity and accuracy of all RDC operations.
      • Performs other various warehouse tasks in case of emergency operational situations, such as picking and/or receipting orders.

      SKILLS AND ABILITIES

      • Self-directed and motivated, with ability to work independently without constant direction, to multi-task, and to remain organized and flexible to change.
      • Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
      • Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) software in a Radio Frequency (RF) Scanner environment.
      • Self-directed and motivated with ability.
      • Basic proficiency with Oracle System Activities.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

      EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 2-year college degree (AA/AS) or equivalent work experience. At least 6-8 years of experience of related experience.

      WORK ENVIRONMENT

      • Physical Demands: Lift up to 50lbs

      COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $81300- $10000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
