      READINESS ADVISOR

      ADMISSIONS & SUPPORTS

      Reporting to the Readiness Team Lead, the Readiness advisor plays a pivotal role in helping learners achieve their education and career goals by providing personalized support and guidance, answering questions, and providing information and options to help them make informed decisions about their academic future and career aspirations. The Readiness advising team supports the student lifecycle through a centralized academic advisory group.

      HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

      • Provide exceptional customer service at all times with clarity, communicating verbally, in writing, and over the phone in a timely, professional manner.
      • Support current NorQuest applicants and students by providing exemplary customer service throughout students’ academic career.
      • Assist students in identifying and overcoming barriers to success, guiding them to support services where necessary.
      • Guide and support students in career decision making and educational program planning with consideration to their occupational goals, academic levels and personal circumstances.
      • Communicate with various NorQuest departments and divisions to develop and maintain strong relationships.
      • Provide input and support for relevant NorQuest College policies and procedures that will increase student satisfaction and completion rates.
      • Collaborate with Admissions to ensure that enrolment targets are met.
      • Represent the college at various events such as conferences and career fairs.
      • Liaise with external agencies and service providers to access resource information for learners.
      • Contribute to the strategic goals of NorQuest College and Learner Experience by initiating and participating in various projects and activities.

      WHAT YOU BRING

      • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
      • 3+ years of experience in student advising/student centered role or a related career in post-secondary education.
      • Knowledge of PeopleSoft would be an asset

      SALARY: $54,028 - $70,193 annually reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefits programs.
