POSITION PURPOSE:
The primary responsibility of the Real Estate Trust Assistant is to support assigned Real Estate Trust Officer(s) in the management and administration of real properties, notes and mortgages, and minerals held in fiduciary, agency, custody, and escrow accounts according to the policies and procedures of Prosperity Bank.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Responsible for money transfers – checks, internal transfers, outside wires, ACH. Preparation of required debit/credit tickets.
2. Responsible for creating and maintaining all ticklers on the trust accounting software and master excel spreadsheet.
3. Responsible for routine real estate expense bill paying.
4. Responsible for lease payment monitoring, including communication with tenants and resolution of delinquencies.
5. Responsible for tracking the inspection schedule for Real Estate Officer(s).
6. Timely deposit of incoming receipts into proper accounts. Accurate allocation of funds according to percentage of ownership.
7. Perform property maintenance on trust accounting software and other systems, as needed.
8. Run queries and reports in trust accounting software to aid Real Estate Officer in the management of properties.
9. Preparation of miscellaneous administrative forms such as asset set up, insurance set up and asset withdrawals.
10. Aid Real Estate Officer in ensuring all property is set up for insurance.
11. Aid Real Estate Officer in ensuring all property taxes are paid in a timely manner.
12. Input critical information related to property in the annual review system.
13. Perform other duties, work overtime, and attend classes or seminars as requested by supervisor.
14. Maintain department confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: High school diploma or G.E.D. is required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Excel and Work experience preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Comparable work experience helpful but not required
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Good spelling, grammar and punctuation skills, ability to file accurately, ability to
use a calculator with proficiency, strong organizational skills, good customer service skills
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
