What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the point of contact between third parties and railroad representatives
- Review and prepare railroad permit applications
- Determine railroad property valuation and license/lease value
- Submit permit applications to railroads on behalf of third-party clients
- Draft license/lease agreements and distribute on behalf of railroad clients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Real Estate, or similar fields of study
- 1-2 years’ experience in real estate or right of way management
- 1-2 years’ experience with client/customer service
- 1 year experience in reading and interpreting engineering plan sets and designs
- Working knowledge of all railroads permitting processes and standards
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proficiency with electronic communications including e-mail and text
- Experience in making decisions and seizing opportunities in the context of business objectives
- Proven experience managing and overseeing the entire scope of assigned projects
- Familiarity with standard office applications (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe)
