      Are you ready to lead operational delivery of practice-changing RWE studies? We are looking for a dynamic individual to align our diverse areas to meet needs and influence strategies. Connect and align different groups across the enterprise -from Research & Development to Market Access. We work simply and with agility to meet the needs of others from early stages of clinical development onwards, throughout the lifecycle. In return, we get to shape AstraZeneca's Medical and Commercial brand plans and disease area strategies.

      Accountabilities:

      As a Real World Evidence Manager, you will successfully deliver RWE studies for the AZ portfolio in your therapy area (TA) of responsibility aligned to the strategic and operational RWE plan. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure AstraZeneca UK is delivering impactful, practice-changing evidence and is recognised as a scientific leader. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance to the ABPI code, GxP requirements and other relevant regulations related to evidence generation activities are met.

      Essential Skills/Experience:

      • Degree in epidemiology or life sciences (or equivalent)
      • Experience of delivering research using UK electronic health record databases (particularly CPRD) and other RWE methodologies (e.g. medical chart review)
      • Experience writing high quality protocols and other study documents
      • Track record of managing development, analysis and publication of RWE studies
      • Evidence of team working and personal accountability

      Desirable Skills/Experience:

      • Degree or alternative qualification in statistics
      • Pharma experience
      • Experience in AZ core therapy areas: CVRM, RIA and oncology
      • Project management experience
      • Strategic and operational planning
      • Statistical programming (Ideally SAS but other software considered)
