- Conduct monthly close procedures for the Company's corporate entities, including accounting calculations, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Complete detailed and analytical reviews of monthly financial statements
- Prepare amortization tables, quarterly schedules, and accounting memos
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure proper coding of payables, rent calculations, and cost transfers
- Update the fixed asset and projects subledgers in the Oracle ERP system
- Prepare various reports, schedules, special projects as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 2 - 4 years of relevant experience at a large corporation or firm
- Strong analytical skills and a firm understanding of accounting principles
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP and FCC a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Group 1 is seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our Real Estate and Construction Project Accounting team. In this role, you will oversee the monthly close process for the real estate holdings entity, and will be responsible for conducting related reporting, analysis, and special projects. The ideal candidate will be able to take ownership of and effectively prioritize their assigned tasks, as well as become independently resourceful within a short time frame.
