      Description

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Margaritaville seeks a reliable, self-motivated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position encompasses various responsibilities, including shipping and receiving tasks, grounds cleaning duties, and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

      Responsibilities:

      1. Shipping and Receiving:
        • Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders or invoices.
        • Inspect and ensure the quality of received goods.
        • Correctly receive and route received items to the designated areas or persons.
        • Prepare and package outgoing shipments with appropriate documentation.
        • Coordinate with carriers for special deliveries and guide them through the property.
        • Track and maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory.
      1. Grounds Cleaning:
        • Maintain cleanliness and organization in shipping and receiving areas, including storage spaces and loading and unloading areas.
        • Sweep, mop, and maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse and other designated areas.
        • Dispose of waste and recycling materials in accordance with company policies.
        • Perform routine maintenance of cleaning equipment.
      1. Miscellaneous Duties:
        • Assist with other departments to maintain Margaritaville's image to provide an excellent experience for guests.
        • Collaborate with other departments to fulfill special requests or urgent shipments.
        • Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as necessary.

      Qualifications:

      • High school diploma or equivalent.
      • Previous experience in shipping and receiving is preferred.
      • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
      • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
      • Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
      • Knowledge of proper handling and storage techniques for various materials.
      • Familiarity with inventory management systems (QTRAK) and basic computer skills (New Hire Training).
      • Valid driver's license and forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one).
      • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

      Qualifications


      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.       1. High school diploma or GED.

      2. 2+ years of experience in maintenance.

      3. HVAC certified preferred

      4. Excellent reading, writing, mathematical skills must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide and have great communication skills.

      5. Ability to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts.

      6. Ability to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

      7. Good judgment and decision making abilities.

      Physical Requirements:

      On a continuous basis, stand or sit for long periods of time, intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies, perform simple grasping and fine manipulation.

      1. The incumbent should be able to stand continuously for periods over 1 hour.

      2. Incumbent must be able to communicate clearly. Long hours sometimes may be required. Medium work Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

      3. Pushing, pulling and lifting objects from lower to higher position or higher to lower position or moving objects horizontally, from position to position and be able to grasp objects while bending, stooping, standing, sitting or walking,

      4. Will be required to m aintain body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing or crouching in narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.

      5. Climbing and ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps.

      6. Hearing sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.

      7. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus both indoors and outdoors.

      8. Occasional travel for training purposes or other business needs.

      9. May be required to work, in a changing indoor and outdoor environment, such as bright sunlight, noise, wind, rain, cold, snow, heat, smoke etc.

      10. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.

      11. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.

      12. Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.

      13. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers, guest, and members.

      14. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, and cooperativeness.
