- Experience working in a grocery/retail environment where attention to detail and organization were a main component of the position.
- Able to multi-task, learn computer programs and perform practices and procedures within a retail/grocery environment.
- Be self-directed, results oriented, project a positive business image and lead by example.
- Good attention to detail and follow through skills.
- Good customer relations’ skills.
- Meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedures, quality and safety requirements.
- Ability to run a cash register.
- Operate department equipment in a safe and efficient manner. (Must be 18 years of age to operate certain department equipment.)
- Work hours required. This includes flexible shift schedules, overtime and weekends required.

SCOPE OF POSITION: Under the day-to-day direction of the Assistant Store Manager, is responsible for total store receiving functions.This involves Direct Store Deliveries and Piggly Wiggly Midwest deliveries.
BASIC FUNCTION: Ensures clear and professional communication with vendors, is responsible for receiving, verifying and determining proper placement of all products and/or supplies coming into our stores.
Position Specific Requirements:
EQUIPMENT/TOOLS OPERATED: Proficient skill in operation of standard store equipment which includes multi-phone line, computer, copy machine, calculator, printers, scanners, etc.Able to use material handling equipment, which include, handcarts, product and pallet moving equipment and cardboard bailer.
