      Were looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Receptionist to join our welcoming team at Dove Medical Practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in delivering excellent service and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the surgery.

      Main duties of the job

      We are currently recruiting for a Receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis, working 27-30 hours per week. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a supportive and dynamic practice team.

      Working Pattern:

      • Monday: 13:00 to 18:30

      • Tuesday:13:00 to 18:30

      • Wednesday: 07:45 to 13:15 (or 16:30)

      • Thursday: 07:45 to 13:15

      • Friday:13:00 to 18:30

      Shift patterns are subject to change.

      You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing an excellent standard of customer service both face-to-face and over the phone. You will also be responsible for administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice.

      Patient-Facing Duties:

      • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.

      • Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and direct them appropriately.

      • Book, cancel, and amend appointments in line with practice protocols.

      • Ensure all patients are signposted appropriately using the agreed triage process.

      • Process repeat prescription requests and provide general information.

      • Deal with patient queries sensitively and maintain confidentiality at all times.

      Administrative Duties:
      • Update patient records and contact details as needed.

      • Assist with new patient registrations and patient deductions.

      • Complete tasks as delegated by the Reception Lead or Practice Manager.

      Team and Practice Support:

      • Work collaboratively with clinical, management, and administrative staff.

      • Maintain a clean and organised reception area.
