      Main duties of the job

      As a Receptionist at our GP surgery, you will be the friendly face and voice that welcomes patients, providing a professional and efficient service. Your main responsibilities will include:

      • Managing Appointments: Booking, rescheduling, and cancelling patient appointments while ensuring efficient diary management for clinicians.

      • Handling Enquiries: Responding to patient queries in person, over the phone, and via email with care and confidentiality.

      • Administrative Support: Processing prescriptions, updating patient records, and assisting with general office tasks.

      • Patient Assistance: Helping patients navigate services, signposting them to the appropriate healthcare professionals, and providing essential information.

      • Team Collaboration: Working closely with GPs, nurses, and other staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

      Blakewater Healthcare is a well-established GP surgery operating across two sites, providing high-quality care to over 11,000 patients. We take pride in delivering patient-centered services in a welcoming and supportive environment.

We also have a large team of clinicians, including GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, working together to provide excellent medical care to our diverse patient community.
