      Job summary

      We are a friendly and busy NHS GP Practice in Daybrook, Nottingham

      We are looking to recruit an additional member of the reception team. We are recruiting for a Care Navigator for 24 hours working Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays, 8am til 2pm each day.

      Hours can be discussed and negotiable

      You will be part of a successful team within a busy GP surgery who have a reputation for offering friendly, helpful service to our patients.

      Job Summary:

      Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.

      Provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.

      Main duties of the job

      You will need strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and good keyboard skills. The ability to remain calm under pressure is essential. Knowledge of Systmone would also be useful, but not essential as training will be provided.

      Your role as a Receptionist / Care Navigator will be complemented by a team of enthusiastic, multi-disciplinary and friendly staff.

      Previous reception/admin and/or customer services skills are desirable.

      You will have a range of patient facing and administrative tasks, so excellent organisational skills and time management are critical. A caring, empathetic character is essential.

      Flexibility to cover for colleagues for holidays and sickness absence is also required. There is also occasional evening and weekend working

      We have are a team of practice and PCN staff and look after 10,900 patients within Daybrook, Nottingham. Our emphasis is very much on our patients' needs and our team and we are looking for people who have the ability to really understand and can empathise with our patients.
